D week one...

...is done

First week in Halifax is finished.

everything seems to have been sorted, and is settling into a nice happy routine.

lets jump straight into the photos.

I've gotta say, filming out here is an absolute pleasure. The crews are polite, fast and light-hearted. The scripts are funny (mostly awkward/quirky, which I like) and it's a joy to go into work each morning.

we're on a TV schedule (not soap-opera speed, thankfully); so anywhere from 4+6/8 to 7+6/8 pages a day.

the first few days on location were interesting with 9ft ceilings, and 14-16ft long pole shots (to get over/around student desks) it certainly gave my arms a good work-out; I was shaking pretty hard... 3 days in; I'm a wreck... 5 days in; things are looking good.

It always takes some time to get the old boomin' arms back, and I'm happy to report that after the first week, I'm 90% there...

This weekend is devoted to relaxation - perhaps another film... (transformers was certainly pretty, but a bit of a laugh in the end... at least it sounded cool)
