Bonus shot of one of them being creepy (the breezes and water circulation somehow make them follow you around the pool)

Landing in Dubai - 21st Jan 2011 - United Arab Emerites

On my way to a skiing holiday - flights had me traveling from Brisbane to Zurich (stopovers in Singapore+Dubai). Overnight in a skeezy part of town, before hopping on a train to St Anton, Austria for 6 days of skiing. Another train to Vienna for a day and a half, before flying to Paris for another 2 days. Onto the 'Chunnel express', for a 2+1/2 day tour of London before boarding a plane Brisbane bound...

Crazy to think that this was 7 years ago, and all the things that have happened since.

Nikon D3100, 18-200mm (@18mm), f6.3, for 1/160th sec, ISO 200

Testing the waters - 6th June 2013 - Deep Cove, North Vancouver, BC

Sony rx100, 40mm-ish (35 equiv.) f8, for 1/100th sec, ISO 80

I'd just landed back on canadian soil, and was touring my old neighbourhood, before hitting the road for a cross-country odyssey.

While the weather was delightful, the water was still cold.

Relaxation - 31st January 2018 - Chester, NS

Sony a6000+35-1.8, @f1.8, for 1/80th sec, ISO 100

Unwinding on the couch with Lisa, while the setting sun positively beams through the window.

I took the opportunity to pretend I was working for J.J. Abrams, and fully embraced the camera lens-flare. (side note, how frickin beautiful are the colours flaring in the sony 35mm)

Stanley Park - 6th June 2013 - Vancouver, BC

Sony rx100 - @28mm (35 equiv.), f3.5 for 1/200th sec, ISO 125

I flat out love Stanley Park - it was just the most amazing thing to have on the edge of downtown Vancouver, absolutely fantastic to go for a skate around the sea-wall - and oftentimes the drive back to the highway was extremely picturesque.

Broken - 3rd February 2018 - Chester, NS

Lisa's old glasses - they broke a few months ago due to UV? exposure - we had them out at dinner one night, testing people's eyesight, and I found them like this the next morning (artfully displayed as photographed)

Flight - 16th May 2013 - Kangaroo Point Cliffs - Brisbane

Nikon D3100+50mm1.4, @f1.4, for 1/4000th sec, ISO 800, a little HDR post processing

Another photo from some morning cliff-climbing awesomeness

No idea how I managed to make the photo at those settings (my suspicion is that I’d forgotten it was set at such a shallow aperture, heard the plane, and framed-up) but it's kinda cool how it all worked out.
